Thank you Rochelle Spears for inviting me to be part of the Creative Blog Tour! :) Please stop by and visit Rochelle's BLOG to learn more about her & her craftiness. This is a great idea for us to introduce our scrappy friends to other scrappy friends. Make sure to read through the end to see the other creative bloggers I have tagged!
Sadly, crafty time for me has been next to none. I recently decided enough is enough is enough. I've started reorganizing my space & putting page kits together as I go. First I'll complete the 6 unfinished layouts sitting on my desk. I did take some time to make this FREEDOM banner using the Pride collection from Authentique. I love hanging my holiday banners! (sorry for the horrible photo)
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I'm not sure. The style of my layout always varies depending on so many things. My mood, paper choice, subject, time, mojo, etc. I love creating everything from vintage to trendy. I tend to ALWAYS use polka dots & glitter! I love trying new things. Here is the last layout I actually finished. It's all boys in this family so I have no problem using flowers, feathers & bling on their pages.
3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I started scrapbooking 11 years ago just after I had my oldest. My new life as a SAHM was craving creativity. Coming out of the fashion industry, scrapbooking was a great fit! I was now working with photo shoots, patterns, colors & textures in a whole new way & LOVING it! I journal as if I'm reminiscing & hope my boys will cherish these words after I've gone.
4. How does your writing/creating process work?
Sketch challenges make it so easy for me to get started. Next I choose photos that will fit the sketch & product that will compliment them.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Now I'm tagging 2 of my crafty pals to introduce you to. They will be sharing more about themselves Monday, August 18th on their blogs. Make sure to stop by. :)
My name is Kelly & I live in Texas with my hubby of 15 years who is thankfully very supportive of my crafting habit. We have 2 boys ages 14 & 13 as well as a 3 year old puppy who is our baby boy. I've loved crafts since I was little creating all kinds of things from cross stitching, rug making, sewing, crocheting, quilting & now playing with paper for scrapbooking, cardmaking & an occasional altered item. My paper crafting style includes distressing & creating in clean lines with an occasional flair of ink or paint. I am a huge fan of using sketches & other challenges for inspiration. Other hobbies I enjoy are watching my boys play sports, reading, gardening & fishing. I love designing for Paper Secrets & am also designing at Sketch N Scrap, Scrap Our Stash & All About Boys.
My name is Nicolle Kramer (part owner of CE) and I have been scrapbooking for around 9 yrs. I am a stay at home mom of 4 children. I have 2 boy ages 20,19 and 2 girls as well ages 17 and 11. My hubby Michael (other owner . ) of 21 yrs is extremely supportive of my hobby. We both love the arts. I enjoy creating layouts using many different styles of scrapping. The internet is where I look for inspiration through sketches, color challenges and browsing some really talented ladies blogs. I find it fun to learn new techniques and follow trends. I’d like to think I am an ever evolving scrapper who loves using bright bold colors, textures and lots of embellishments to enhance the story being told on my page in a unique and creative way that keeps the viewer continually discovering new details every time they see one of my pieces. I also love to alter different mediums and create tags. I also make the occasional card. I love everything paper or paper related.
